David Hester, MD
Dr. David Hester is a native Texan. He attended Westlake High School in Austin, TX and received a Bachelor of Science Degree at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Dr. Hester attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. Following medical school, he completed his Orthopedic Residency training in San Antonio, TX at the University of Texas Health Science Center. After residency, Dr. Hester completed a Fellowship Program in Foot & Ankle Surgery at the San Antonio Orthopedic Group. After both residency and fellowship training, he became a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Hester’s practice is focused on orthopedic conditions affecting the lower extremities, including sports related injuries (arthroscopic surgery), arthritis (joint replacement) and complicated foot and ankle injuries. He has further training in ACI (cartilage transplantation), meniscal transplantation and total ankle replacement.
Dr. Hester is married to his high school sweetheart, Tiffani and they have three sons –Nolen, Holden and Hayden. He enjoys playing golf, hunting and coaching his young sons’ sports teams. You will often find Dr. Hester on the side lines of Midland Christian athletic events. He enjoys taking care of and treating young athletes in our community.
