About Us

Midland Memorial Hospital

Midland Memorial Hospital is committed to making a lasting difference in our community. We value our partnerships with nonprofit organizations in our area, and for years we've teamed up with the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society and March of Dimes, among others, to help make their annual fundraisers successful.

We are happy to sponsor these organizations financially, but we are most proud of our employees who also raise thousands of additional sponsorship dollars and invest their time as volunteers. In 2008 we were even named top fundraiser in the March of Dimes "March for Babies," a task that could not have been achieved without our wonderful employees.

Midland Memorial Hospital is also committed to reaching out to the community through various health initiatives. For the last ten years, we have planned and hosted the annual "Healthy U" Health Fair, where community members can receive free health screenings and educational materials to help them better manage their health and wellness. In 2012, we also plan to partner with Midland Community Health Services to bring smaller, more focused events to those in our community who need it most.

If you are looking for an opportunity to get involved with Midland Memorial Hospital's programs, we have several different offerings available, such as support groups, education and volunteer opportunities. Click on the links below for more information on each of these programs.

Diabetes Education

Volunteer Auxiliary

This just scratches the surface of our community involvement, as we contribute widely to several other organizations and events that benefit West Texans. The MMH staff truly shines when it comes to community service, and we are proud to play such an important role in the operation of these vital organizations and community events.

Healthy U

Healthy U is a premier health education and wellness expo that helps us reach and educate hundreds of Midlanders and visitors from surrounding communities.

Over the last several years, we have been privileged to be able to touch the lives of thousands of citizens in the Permian Basin by providing free services such as cardiac risk assessments, heart disease education, mammography and bone density instruction, colorectal cancer education and much, much more.

Healthy U has been, and will continue to be, the leading health exposition of the Permian Basin.

Healthy U 2012 will take place on

Saturday, October 20th, 2012

From 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Midland Horseshoe Arena.

Tobacco Free Campus

Providing a safe and healthy environment for our employees, patients and visitors is a top priority of Midland Memorial Hospital. In an effort to promote this goal, all properties owned or leased by Midland Memorial Hospital are tobacco free.

The use of all tobacco products is prohibited on hospital property, both inside and out. This includes all parking lots. The policy applies to all MMH employees, physicians, vendors, volunteers, patients and visitors, or anyone on hospital grounds.

As a healthcare organization, we have an obligation to provide a healthy, smoke-free environment to our employees, patients, and guests, and we believe it is the right thing to do.

We hope you understand our efforts and choose to comply. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy please contact any information desk.
