Midland Memorial Hospital Benefits
Midland Memorial offers several programs that support your personal and professional goals, plus a variety of medical, dental and other benefit options that provide the coverage that best suits you. Here's a look at our benefits:
Retirement Savings Plan
Midland Memorial offers a 403(b) plan. Upon employment you are immediately eligible to participate in the plan.
Midland Memorial Hospital will provide a matching contribution based on your years of service.
- If you have less than 5 years of service, you will receive a maximum matching contribution of 50% on the first 6% deferred.
- If you have between 5 and 9 years of service, you will receive a maximum matching contribution of 75% on the first 6% deferred.
- If you have between 10 and 19 years of service, you will receive a maximum matching contribution of 100% on the first 6% deferred.
- If you have more than 20 years of service, you will receive a maximum matching contribution of 100% on the first 7.5% deferred.
Midland Memorial Hospital offers a High Deductable Health Plan (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA) to help you cover a wide range of medical services. These services include office visits, hospitalization, labs, x-rays, and prescription drugs. A HDHP is a consumer driven health plan. This plan has a higher deductable than a traditional plan, which then encourages the employee to take a more active role in their health care decisions. The plan still allows you to use the physician or health care provider of your choice; however, you will receive the highest level of benefits when you use Midland Memorial and other in-network providers.
Prescription Drug Coverage
When you choose to enroll in the medical plan, you automatically have prescription drug coverage. Your prescription cost will go towards your deductable. Once your deductable has been met then you will have a coinsurance percentage that will apply per prescription order or refill. Your lowest cost option will always be the use of generic drugs whenever possible.
Focusing on your health can pay off. Midland Memorial offers employees a wellness benefit each year which allows you to receive a discount on your premiums based off of your participation of the wellness program.
Memorial Hospital recognizes that healthy teeth and regular oral check-ups are an important part of your overall well-being. For this reason, we provide dental insurance that encourages preventive care and regular exams. Additionally, Midland Memorial’s dental plan allows you to visit any licensed dental provider in the United States.
Coverage is offered through Superior Vision Services. You may use in-network vision care providers and receive either contact lenses or eyeglass frames once every 12 months.
After six months of employment, full-time and part-time employees are eligible for tuition assistance. Our assistance is 100 percent of approved courses completed with a grade of C or above, up to $3,000 a year for full-time employees and $1,500 for part-time employees. Midland Memorial also has a program through the Midland Memorial Foundation that will supplement our tuition assistance.
