Conducts nutrition assessments for patients at high, moderate, and low risk, and patients requiring artificial nutrition support. Implementation and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapy interventions. Patient education regarding therapeutic diets and home nutrition support regimens. Attends and participates in all interdisciplinary meetings as scheduled. · Aids in ensuring patient satisfaction levels are met at all times. · Follows all HIPAA policies. Runs the food service delivery program and ensures high customer satisfaction with services provided. Supervises all foodservice staff. o Manages the fiscal aspects of the patient foodservice program Selects and trains foodservices staff. Provides opportunities for continuing education and other developmental experiences for foodservice staff. · Effectively communicates with nursing to ensure accuracy of diet orders and timely delivery of patient trays and nourishments · Oversees the retail area and ensures high customer services provided at all times.
· Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, or a related clinical field. Prefer Master’s Degree. o Must have appropriate licensure and/or registration based on clinical back ground (i.e RDN, LD) · Minimum of 2-4 years as a manager. (Prefer strong background in patient services and customer satisfaction).Must be able to effectively communicate information and respond to questions
