Camp Bluebird
Camp Bluebird is a day camp for adult cancer patients and survivors. It is co-hosted by Midland Memorial Hospital, Allison Cancer Center , and the Southwestern Bell Pioneers. It is a camp designed for fun, fellowship, and of course, food. Games, crafts, and activities are planned for the day and campers may participate in as much or, as little as they want. While attending this delightful retreat the campers also receive medical information related to their situation.
The camp is held in the early fall at different locations throughout the Permian Basin. There is a nominal cost to attend and scholarships are available. Nurses are present to assist campers with any health needs.
