Performs the essential duties and responsibilities and the primary functions of a Surgical Technologist in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of assigned patients. In addition, acts as a resource and provides leadership and guidance to assigned specialty area including primary responsibility for orientation and training of team members, and maintenance of inventory and case cards for specialty area. Responsible for meeting the established surgical and applicable sub-specialty standards of a Surgical Technologist, for managing supplies and equipment and any assigned personnel. Responsible for promoting team work with physicians, anesthesia providers and personnel of other departments. Responsible for solving practical problems, dealing with a variety of issues. Demonstrate procedural knowledge and judgement necessary for patient’s care in the operative setting. Must possess National Certification as a Surgical Technologist by complying with the established LCC-ST requirements (Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist).
The base rate for this position is $15.02/hr
