Performs primary and essential duties as an assistant for the Materials Management Department. Provides a helpful, courteous, and positive attitude when greeting people entering the office or on the telephone. Enforces Materials Management’s vendor policies. Assists in purchase order processing. Prepares reports and general correspondence for the department. Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the use of computers and office machines in a business environment. Promotes and demonstrates strong customer service skills.
Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum of two years of experience in performing clerical duties.
• A mental development equivalent to a high school graduate capable of solving practical problems dealing with a
variety of variables. Should be able to perform mathematical calculations, capable of interpreting written
materials and capable of composing correspondence or reports.
The base pay for this position is $9.94/hr and is increased based upon applicable experience.
