Individuals who are offered a position with Midland Memorial Hospital are screened for nicotine use as part of the post-offer health assessment and screening. Those whose screening results are verified positive for nicotine use will have their job offers withdrawn. Individuals whose job offers are withdrawn for nicotine use may reapply for employment after 90 days.
Primary responsibilties are: 1) to gather all pertinent patient information; 2) to accurately admit/register or preadmit patients; 3) to pre-certify all applicable admissions/pre-admissions; 4) to obtain signatures on all appropriate admission forms if appropriate; 5) to ensure that patient benefits/eligibility are verified and entered into the Hospital's Information system when applicable; and 6) to provide a full range of insurance verification functions on an as needed basis as requested by Management. Additionally, because the Patient Access Registrar carries the responsibility of acting as the Hospital's primary entry point into the system, all job duties are completed in a A mental development equivalent to a high school graduate, capable of solving practical problems dealing with a variety of variables. Tlhe base pay for this position is $11.91/hr.
