The Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) has knowledge of the pathophysiologic basis for laboratory testing gained through professional education or work experience. They perform preanalytical, analytical and post-analytical phases of tests covering nearly the full range of laboratory analyses. CLT's recognize abnormal or unexpected results andinitiate follow-up or corrective actions within established parameters. Laboratory technicians compare test results to pre-established criteria (reference ranges) and make decisions regarding the reportablility of results within preset parameters. Must have the ability to ensure optimal communication of information with health professionals. Must have ASCP, NCA and be able to provide documentation of successful completion of a two-year program in Medical/Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science Training.
The pay for this position is $20.29
