Midland Health Community Garden

Want to make a difference? So do we. We're starting from the ground up with a dream to create healthy dietary options for everyone in the Midland community. We have built a community garden right on the Midland Memorial Hospital West Campus grounds, at 4214 Andrews Highway.

Help our dream of a healthier Midland take root. Visit our community garden page or contact the Community Relations Department at (432) 221-1185 for information about becoming a sponsor, renting a plot, or other ways you can get involved.

Whole-food, Plant-based Nutrition

On April 2nd, Midland Health hosted a 'Food Is Medicine' seminar at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center. Attendees learned how a plant-based diet can prevent and reverse chronic disease, how exercise plays an important part of a healthy lifestyle and how to shop and cook on the plant-based diet.

For information about whole-food, plant-based nutrition, visit our Food Is Medicine resource page. This page has contact information for the Plant Strong West Texas Pod group and local physician offices that support this lifestyle, as well as list of recommended plant-based cookbooks, online recipes and more.
