The primary responsibility of the HVAC (Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) technician is the inspection, maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment including but not limited to, refrigerated air handlers, coolers, freezers and cooling systems to maintain required temperatures. Also responsible for ice machines and associated (RO) reverse osmosis units. Position requires individual to tests for leaks, traces electrical systems and operations of thermostats. In addition this position requires compliance with all state and federal laws regarding the use and disposal of refrigerant. This position requires the maintenance of tools and work areas in order to reflect a professional appearance. This position necessitates professional and effective communication with medical staff, patients, families and the general public.
One year employment in the industry or training at an approved trade school.
Must have EPA Universal refrigerant certification.
